Sometimes the end is just the beginning. When it comes to the Lego Church Project this is a very true statement. When The Project comes home from the final display. I begin the process of taking the church down brick by brick. Often taking me more than a few days and a lot of hours.
Part of the reason for this is because gravity takes over and can put extra stress on the bricks. Given the nature of this build, parts do wear out, and require replacements at times. So I need to inspect things as I take The Project down and see where I’m at.
I also get to look back on what I’ve done for the past year and reflect/pray on how I can do things better. Not just with the builds but with myself as well. We carry a lot of internal garbage. Things that we often regret we have done. Mistakes that we make due to errors in our own judgement. It is a time to pray on how we can be better. To remove the negative stuff and focus on what God wants us to do in this life.
In our walk with Christ we are constantly building and rebuilding our faith. My work in that respect is a solid reflection of this. I am building and rebuilding my work every year. Taking much needed time to pray and reflect over all the things that go on with my life.
Which leads to the beginning. Because with in a few weeks of taking the one season down. I begin the build for the next season. A brand new canvas to share the story of parish life. To spend my time praying at the bricks. It is a time of both fear and excitement as I start a new season. For I have no idea where the Lord will lead me.
The tear down is a bitter sweet moment for me. It is an ending. The closing of one chapter. To reflect and pray as I head into the next one. Soon I will be hard at work once again. Building and Praying At The Bricks.
What’s next?
With the Season 25 Project taken down. It is time to start turning my attention to the Season 26 build very soon. I’ll be doing a bit of praying and some tinkering as I work on small bits here and there. I’ll be posting progress updates on FB, Twitter, and here on Substack Notes if you want to follow along.
Finding parishes!
I am starting to look for parishes that are interested in hosting me for Season 26. If you know of a parish that might be a good fit, and they can provide the rides, please have them reach out. I can start doing displays in March or April depending on how The Project build goes. I will go where the Lord is willing to send me. Praying He sends me forth this season!
This article from Season 24 is a good understanding of some of the issues I have faced.
Always Toward the Light
Recently John Henry from Always Toward the Light interviewed me for his program. I always enjoy sharing my talents and my passion for the faith with others.

Closing Thoughts
Never stop praying. Even for people you do not like or just simply have a disagreement with. You never know what God has planned for any of us. Prayer is very powerful. Even when we cannot always see the results.
